In view of the Lok Sabha elections, Amar Ujala’s election chariot ‘Satta Ka Sangram’ reached East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency on Monday. Here in the evening the issues were discussed in ‘discussion with leaders’.
Delhi resident Kapil Singhal said, ‘Delhi is the most backward in the country in the field of development. Nobody has power. The central government works as per its own and the state government works as per its own. There is the problem of garbage, the problem of Ghazipur and the water is also dirty. Last time the MP tried to work, but the work was hampered because of the local MLA and other people. If the state government and the central government work together then Delhi can develop.
The Congress worker said, ‘The way BJP is using ED and CBI, there is fear among the public. BJP changed six MPs in Delhi, what is the reason behind this? He said that a different world resides on this Yamuna and a different world resides on the other side of the Yamuna. Very regretful about this. If development does not happen at a distance of three kilometers from where the entire cabinet resides on the other side of the Yamuna, then how will it be possible in the whole of Delhi. BJP should work on public issues. BJP should not do politics on Mangalsutra, meat, Hindu-Muslim.
A person named Vikas said, ‘Today globalization is prevalent and destructive competition among the political parties is causing huge loss to the society. Many claims are being made. When Congress also got time, it also failed on many fronts and BJP got the same ten years. Now we should know what role India can play in a new globalization and what is the relevance of national elections on it.
Harikesh Singh, a resident of Delhi, said, ‘We are with whoever talks about the interest of the nation. When Aam Aadmi Party came, it had made many promises, but not even a single promise was fulfilled. Regarding job, he said that whoever is eligible will get that job. If there is no development then people will remove BJP and if there is development then BJP government will be formed. The public is becoming aware.
